Virus warning in Retrospective 2.1.2 64 bit [SOLVED]

Postby antheque » 29 Oct 2012, 12:00

Hi, I tried to download the Retrospective trial but my Norton Antivirus deleted the file afterwards. Can I ignore the warning? If the warning is indeed spurious - Symantec most likely has some feedback channel for ISVs to register their installers as safe.

I use Norton Internet Security, version 19.9.0.9. The virus warning was like this:

Full Path: c:\downloads\retrospective-2_1_2-windows-64bit.exe
Threat: WS.Reputation.1

I forgot to add that the warning is false-positive, of course :)

Symantec Insight Dispute Team has responded by placing our software in the white list.
Is it possible to run LiveUpdate in Norton Internet Security and try to download Retrospective
again?
